The Rev. Jeremy Brigham died on July 27, 2026, at the age of 82 (1943-2026).

Jeremy is survived by his wife Selma Dannenfelser Brigham, brothers Larry (Mary) Brigham of Cincinnati OH and Daniel (Donna) of Canandaigua NY, his children Emily Brigham of Iowa City, Elizabeth (Mark) Smejkal of Cedar Rapids, and Sophie (Bill) Nicholson of Casa Grande AZ. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A memorial and visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, 2121 Bowling St. SW in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation begins at 10:00 followed by the memorial service at 11:00.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Peoples Church Unitarian Universalist, 4980 Gordon Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids IA 52405, Iowans for Gun Safety, Linn County UNA-USA, the African American Museum of Iowa, or Interfaith Alliance of Iowa. UURMaPA will contribute to the UUMA Endowment Fund in honor of our colleague’s ministry.
