The Rev. Richard “Dick” Haynes died on July 9, 2026, at the age of 76 (1950−2026).

Dick is survived by his wife Cindy; his sons Ben (Betsey), David (Jessi), and Zach; and his grandsons Jack, Will, and David. He is also survived by his siblings Molly (Bill), Susanne (Mike), and Paul, as well as many nephews and nieces, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Eliot Unitarian Universalist Chapel, 100 South Taylor Rd, Kirkwood MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Eliot Unitarian Universalist Chapel, 100 South Taylor Rd, Kirkwood MO 63122, or to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle VA 22172. UURMaPA will contribute to the UUMA Endowment Fund in honor of our colleague’s ministry
